Tutorial: Saving Modules as Tests
Step 1: Searching
  1. Select the property "Title" from the "Browse Search:" pull down menu
  2. Select the desired module by checking the box next to it; in the example below we have selected the module "Balancing Food Intake".
  3. After selecting the desired module click on the "Search" button located on the right hand side of the screen. A new window will appear that contains a list of the items in the module, and looks similar to the image in Step 2.

Step 2: Selecting Items

The search results display in the table view, shown below – similar to a spreadsheet – where each question is one row in the table. Search results can be viewed in four different ways by clicking the different tabs (table, items, gallery, slide). Choose the views most useful for the task at hand.

In the table view, click the checkbox above the words "Select All", located in the left of the light blue column headings ( shown with shaded circle on the example image below). When clicked, all items in the search result become selected (indicated by a check mark that appears in each box next to the corresponding item). You have now selected all items for saving.

Step 3: Opening Selected Items

Select the "Open Selected Items as Test" button in the upper right hand portion of the screen and shown inside the red circle on the example image below. This will create a new window that displays your items in test form. You are now ready to save your test.

Step 4: Save Items to your computer

The new window has now appeared and contains your selected items in test form. The window will appear similar to the example image below.

To save your test to the hard drive select "File" then "Save Page As" Choose a file name and designate a location on your hard drive to save the file. Your test has now been saved.

Note: Printing from the browser does not intelligently handle paging. In order to carefully format the paging, include page numbers, open the file in the full Word Processor and examine the print previews and make adjustments as desired.

Step 5: Saving Tests

Saving your score guide is the same as saving a test in steps 3 and 4 only you will use the “open item as score guide” button from the search results.

To save your score guide to the hard drive select "File" then "Save Page As" Choose a file name and designate a location on your hard drive to save the file. Your score guide has now been saved.
