MetaCat allows the user the ability to customize the search screen and sort the data in a variety of ways. The image below is an example of unsorted data that is ready to be customized and sorted.
You can customize the properties displayed for your search items by choosing "Customize" located in the "Actions" pull down menu and shown on the image below.
A new window will open that displays the various properties available. To select a property click the box next to the property that you wish to display, a checkmark will appear in the box indicating that the property has been selected. To unselect a property check the box again and the checkmark will disappear indicating that the property is no longer selected. When all desired properties have been selected select the "Update" button in the lower left hand portion of the screen.
Your new properties will now be displayed in the results window
In the window that appears select what property you want to sort by in the pull down menu and then check either "Ascending" or "Descending" order. To finish sorting the data select the "Sort" button located under the pull down menus.
In the example we are sorting by grade level and in ascending order.
The following image is an example of a search result that has been sorted by skill.
