Online Testing

1. Save the desired test items, adjust scoring weight if desired.
2. Set quiz delivery parameters (see parameters section.)
3. Set quiz permissions -(see permissions section.)

Saving desired items in the work window will allow these items to be delivered in an online test. To save, simply enter a title for the test in the Title field and click the "Save New" button. If you are replacing an existing saved test, use the replace option. The students will see this title when they take the online test, so choose an appropriate name for your students.

Work Window

Presentation Window

The Presentation Window is different than the Work window. The presentation window actually contains only a link to the original item, the order of the questions, and the scoring weight of the question. You can add or delete items in this window, set the weights, and access the quiz parameters and permissions windows from the actions pulldown menu.

However, because this window contains only links to the items, you cannot view all the item descriptors, or sort by them in this window. To work on your test, you will want to click the Folder icon to add the original items in the work window.

The scoring weight of questions defaults to 1 point. To change the weight of your questions, click on the weight you wish to change. An edit box opens, as shown below. Change to the desired weight. When you click out of the edit box, the change is saved.
